Jacob has worked in Intellectual Property since 2016, following completion of an Electronic Engineering degree at the University of Surrey. As part of his degree he spent a year working in industry as a software engineer, which meant that he gained valuable experience in object-oriented programming developing software for reducing noise in live video streams for medical applications, utilising languages such as C, C++ and Java.
While working at Page White Farrer, Jacob has passed both the UK and the European foundation exams.
Jacob has worked with a variety of clients, from individual inventors and SMEs, to large multinational corporations, and across a broad range of technologies. Jacob has experience working on a global portfolio, including cases from the US, China, Taiwan, and Canada in addition to UK and European cases.
Primarily handling patent applications in Europe, Jacob has experience of drafting and prosecuting patent applications, as well as of transfers and assignments of patent assets. He also assists in the management and development of patent portfolios, including working with clients to identify new inventions.
